PATIENT HISTORY
Joshua “Josh” Rozsa was born in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan to Isobel and Marcus Rozsa. Josh lived a pretty normal childhood until his teenage years. He had had one or two girlfriends but he knew that he didn't really like them. When he was 13, Josh knew that he was gay but like most young adolescents that wanted to fit in chose to deny it for the sake of being what his parents saw as “normal.” He succeeded until the age of 15 when he met his first (and so far only) boyfriend Richard. Josh knew then that he couldn't deny who or what he was although he still tried to keep it from his parents. As time went by his parents had their suspicions.
Josh and Richard (Rich) were dedicated to each other, when they had the opportunity they would sneak out and go to raves together, places where Josh didn't have to hide himself and where nobody cared whether or not he was gay. Most of the time this happened to be at a club in Ferndale, Michigan. The town was known for having a strong LGBT community so he and Rich were accepted there more often than anywhere else. At times Josh would even go the LGBT support center, hoping to one day gain the strength to tell his family. When he got the chance however, it would be under dire circumstances.
At his highschool, rumors were started which resulted in the other jocks bullying Josh. There were only two people that ever stuck up for him, his best friend, Tina and Rich. Josh's relationship with his family really took a dive during his senior year. Valentine's day was special for Josh, not only because it was Valentine's day. Josh actually met Rich around Valentine's day. They went out to dinner and it was also the first (and only) night that Josh and Rich spent together in the biblical sense. Rich bought him the most beautiful bouquet of roses he'd ever seen almost to this day. He didn't get to keep them long as the next day while he was at school, his mother found the roses that he'd hidden in his room. Josh made the mistake of not removing the card that said “To Josh” with a romantic message from his lover.
When Josh arrived home from school, his parents were waiting for him. They confronted him about sleeping with another boy and told him that they called Rich's parents to “discuss it” with them. After a confrontation that ended up with Josh admitting that he slept with Rich and “fucking liked it” his mother slapped him in the face, both literally and metaphorically. The first slap had been literal, but the second slap came as she took the roses and put them into her paper shredder, jamming it in the process. After the confrontation, Josh moved out of his parents home (they didn't even try to stop him) and eventually moved in with his best friend Tina. Josh tried calling Rich several times but got no answer. When his mother or father would answer the phone they'd just hang up on him.
Josh hated himself after everything that happened. Even though he was living with Tina and her mother, he felt bad that he didn't have a family to go home to. He hated himself for disappointing his parents, feeling bad about what he said despite how they treated him. He also hated himself for possibly destroying Rich's relationship with his family as well. Josh had no idea what happened to Rich after that horrible night.
Eventually, Josh and Tina moved out of her mother's home and they became roommates at an apartment in Ann Arbor, Michigan. After about a year of living together Tina decided to do something special for her friend on his 19th birthday. They'd take a trip to New Orleans and take in all of the sights, making sure to get drunk, party, and who knew what else. Sometime while walking the streets they both were invited to a party by a guy named Diego. The party was hosted by his good friend, Marcel Gerrard. They went to the party, unaware of what would come next.
Sometime while at the party, their hosts turned into vampires and fed from them along with the other guests. They were then fed the blood of their host Marcel so that they could heal and were compelled to forget. Although this is one of the events that remain muddled and lost in the 19 year olds mind. He was certain that a man named Klaus, a friend of Marcel's had killed him and Tina and had given them a choice to grab a coin first to become vampires. Josh was ready to die for the friend that took him in, but despite all that they'd been through she wasn't ready to die for him as she picked up the coin first. To his surprise (and Tina's), Marcel killed her although she grabbed the coin first. He valued Josh's loyalty.
The events after that day all are muddled. He remembered things, like being compelled by Klaus to spy on his best friend Marcel. He also remembered meeting Davina, the girl that became his new best friend. She was a witch in allegiance with Marcel that was told to wipe Klaus's compulsion away from his mind, a process that was hard to get through but she helped him by caring enough to take an interest in what he liked. He also remembered another friend, a woman named Camille.
Josh went through a lot with Davina, and he'd been targeted by Klaus because of his and Davina's allegiance with Marcel. He remembered being bitten by the hybrid and taken to her in an effort to get Davina to tell him where Marcel was. She'd told him but he left them, not healing Josh like he promised. The last thing he remembered was being fed Klaus's blood by Davina somehow, at least it was the last delusion he remembered.
When Josh woke up to reality, it was in the back of a van, but it wasn't the van that his best friend Tina betrayed him in. He was in restraints. It had actually only been 22 hours since the party that he and Tina went to. Tina and Josh had become the target of a couple of crazed madmen. Tina had been killed, and so had the men that kidnapped them. When Josh was found, he kept talking about vampires, witches, werewolves and a man named Klaus. He was also worried about Davina, but nobody knew of the world the way he'd seen it since coming to New Orleans. There was no Davina, no Klaus, no Marcel, no original family of vampires, werewolves or witches. There was no evidence that Josh killed Tina or the men that terrorized them so they couldn't arrest him. Josh's family was called but it's unknown whether they even cared enough to even bother to see to their son. The authorities didn't know what to do with him …....

PRESENTS WITH
Josh has been taken to Echo House partly due to the condition that he was found in, and although he wasn't violent the authorities took the precautions to restrain him anyway. He feels that Davina and his friends are still out there somewhere and that they are in trouble. He doesn't believe that he or Tina were kidnapped, holding on to what he believes is true despite the fact that he now appears to be a normal human.
